GF Underberg

Branded Oldenburg International

GF Underberg is the outstanding young son of the successful international showjumper ‘Up to Date 8’ ridden by Michael Whitaker. He is a highly sporty showjumper but in a modern outfit, and his stamp and breeding very much lends itself not only to the discerning showjumper breeder but also to breeders looking to produce a quality sport horse or eventer. GF Underberg is already demonstrating a superb athleticism and his canter is exceptional. He is only 3 years old but has been very easy to break in and is being ridden regularly, we have also found his temperament to be exceptionally relaxed.

His full brother has been very successful under Johannes Ehning in Germany and his full sister is being campaigned by international Italian rider Luca Inselvini. He qualified her for the 2007 World Breeding Championships in Lanaken.

GF Underberg is currently stationed at Cuxhaven in Germany and it is our intention that he starts his campaign in Germany next year. He will be aimed at the 2010 Bundeschampionat and also at the 5 year old class at the World Breeding Championships at Lanaken the same year. We have every faith that he will fulfil his undoubted potential and go on to have a very successful international career.

More information on Up To Date 8
‘Up To Date 8’ is the very successful international show jumper ridden by Michael Whitaker. He is a BSJA Silver Elite Stallion and fully approved Westfalen. His pedigree is superb and his competition record exceptional. In 2007 he won the 6 Bar class in Wellington and has also won and been placed in 4 Bar, 6 Bar, A4 and A7 classes at CSI-W Coruna, Hickstead, CSI-W Syracuse, CSI-W Dubai and CSI-W Toronto. In March this year he won one of the main classes at the Cervia Spring Tour in Italy.

Many of his progeny who are now rising 6 have inherited his wonderful temperament and great jump. One of his daughters won the free jumping competition at Vechta twelve months ago and was then sold for a substantial amount. His foals are now appearing at the elite foal sales and again commanding high prices.
